What the software is

Jyotish Sarathi is a complete jyotish workbench rather than a horoscope reader. It generates the lagna kundali and every divisional chart from D1 to D60, the Vimshottari, Yogini and Tribhagi dasha trees, Shadbala and Ashtakavarga strength analysis, 71 yoga faladesh, Ashtakoota (36 guna) matching, KP sub-lord analysis, panchanga and Nepali patro, and a printable cheena as PDF.

It is the same engine on every platform and on every plan. The paid plans add cloud sync, multi-device use and the advanced modules; they do not add a different or "more accurate" calculation.

Who makes it

Sarathi Services Pvt Ltd is a software company based in Kathmandu, Nepal. The company has been building and maintaining Jyotish Sarathi since 2024, shipping updates across Google Play, the Microsoft Store and direct macOS downloads.

What it is built on

Two commitments shape the product, and both are checkable rather than promotional.

Classical math, honestly implemented. Most astrology apps pick one computation path and hide it. Jyotish Sarathi implements both the classical Surya Siddhanta algorithm and modern Drik Siddhanta positions from the Swiss Ephemeris, exposes the ayanamsha as a deliberate choice among 11+ systems, and reports on every chart which settings produced it. The calculation methodology documents each step, including the known limits.

Nepal-first, then India and the world. Most Vedic astrology software is designed for India and treats Nepali as a translation. Here, Nepali is a first-class interface language, Vikram Sambat converts to and from Gregorian dates throughout the app, and the patro carries Nepali festivals, auspicious timings and Rahukaal. Charts can still be cast for any location worldwide.

Privacy stance

Birth data is sensitive. All astronomical computation runs locally on the device, so a kundali can be cast with the device offline and no account. Nothing is uploaded for a chart to be generated. Cloud sync exists for people who want their saved profiles on more than one device, and it is opt-in — see the privacy policy.
